Spencer Strainer introduces the GS-144-F sanitary self-cleaning filter for process flow of up to 400 gal/min.

Constructed of 316-L stainless steel, this food-grade strainer works continuously. There are no bags or elements to replace, so there is no inherent waste and no downtime for filter changes. Wedgewire or perforated screens of various openings are available and interchangeable, allowing one strainer to be used for multiple applications.

Product to be filtered enters the strainer through the inlet, with filtration occurring from the outside in. Screened particulate accumulates within the canister and is purged through the bottom drain as needed. Purged particles are piped away for disposal, recycling, or re-use.

The GS-144-F operates continuously as a sealed device, so product stays within the piping and out of the atmosphere. It is a cost-effective solution for many types of food processing applications, including peanut/almond butter, chocolate, pizza sauce/tomato sauce, cheese, orange juice, alcohol, and dairy products, as well as non-food products including oil, acrylic, polymers, paint, biofuel, toothpaste, caulk, bath tissue, and more.

The strainers are suitable for aseptic operations and work well as pre-filters upstream of membranes, centrifuges, and other fine filter media.

The GS-144-F utilizes a ½-hp, three-phase motor, and Delrin stationary wiper blades. Rated at up to 400 psi, it features 4-in. tri-clamp inlet/outlet, and a 3-in. tri-clamp drain. They are available with single or three phase motors, with air motors and explosion proof motors optional. Inlet/outlet and drain connections may also be threaded or flanged. An optional mobile stand allows the unit to be moved wherever needed. ASME Code construction is available.

Monthly test lease and rental programs are available.
